Hi everybody! Sorry for the huge delay in time between blog posts, it’s been a very busy, unstable and uncertain time for the Incompleat Angler.
This is a very quick post just to let you know that unfortunately my time in the Seychelles has come to a sudden and abrupt end, so sudden in fact that I’m writing this post from Derbyshire where it has rained, snowed, hailed and shone bright all in the last ten minutes!
The department I worked in on Desroches has been bought by another company, this new owner has a firm policy that all their fly guides must have a skippers license which I don’t so unfortunately it was impossible for my contract to be carried over to the new company.
I’m pretty heartbroken, I won’t sugar coat it. I had just began to feel like I was settling in and adjusting, I was getting plenty of guiding and was learning constantly. I met some really awesome folks and got to do some incredible fishing, I’m very thankful for that!
Who knows what the future holds for tIA, I certainly don’t and it’s very exciting! In the meantime I’ve a few posts I wrote while I was on Desroches which I’ll throw on here unedited – don’t get confused by the tense, I’m definitely back in blighty!
Tight lines and I hope to catch up with a few of you very soon.
Cheers
Andy
